Minutes from Parent Forum 13.6.2023

Present: Principal and Assistant Principal, 8 parents

The powerpoint 'Transition' was presented to parents to explain the work that goes behind the transition process in school, reasons why teachers change year groups, why they do not find out till late on in the summer term and why children are mixed.  

Parents who attended affirmed the decision that is sometimes made to separate children from their friends when it is not conducive to learning and citing examples of how their own child has flourished when this happened to them. 

Parents were asked what they would like the focus for the next forum and have asked to have a better understanding of expectations at the end of year groups.  This will happen during the autumn term.
