Our Nursery

Getting off to a great start....

Our nursery is led by a  teacher and supported by highly qualified assistants who are dedicated to ensuring that learning is at the heart of all that happens in our nursery session - through carefully planned play.

Exploring, questioning and experimenting opportunities are abundant in our well resourced classroom and outdoor learning space.

Children are eligible to enter our nursery the term after they turn 3 if there are spaces available.   For example if they are 3 in April, they can start in September.  If they are 3 in September they can start in January.  There are 26 places morning and 26 afternoon spaces.  Every child is eligible for 15 hours of free nursery education per week and in our school, this can be taken as morning sessions or afternoon sessions. Sessions run from 8:45-11:45am and 12:30 - 3:30pm.

There are up to 26 x 30 hour spaces available for working parents (eligibility checks apply). These sessions run 8:45am to 11.45am and 12.30pm to 3.30pm with the option to stay for lunch which costs £6 per session per day (your child must bring a packed lunch from home). Please note the cost is £12 for sessions booked with less than 24 hours notice.

We also offer morning and afternoon spaces (15 hours a week) for those children whose parents do not qualify for 30 hours of childcare. Please note that sessions can not be split across different providers.

There are three intakes a year: September, January and April (after the Easter holidays).  We will only be able to accept pupils if there are sufficient spaces.

Uniform

We ask that children are in at least a basic uniform of school purple polo shirt with logo and school purple sweatshirt with logo with your own choice of leg wear.  Children should have trainers for indoors and be provided with wellies for outside (these need to be available every day).  If you would like your child to wear the full school uniform this is up to you.  Children will also need a school book bag.
